1. Call for Help Immediately:
- Call emergency services (911 or your local emergency number) as soon as possible. Provide the location, victim's condition, and any relevant details.
2. Check for Responsiveness:
- Gently shake the person and call out loudly to check if they respond.
3. Start Chest Compressions:
- If there's no response, begin CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) by delivering chest compressions.
- Place the victim on a firm, flat surface.
- Position the heel of one hand on the center of the person's chest between the nipples.
- Place your other hand on top of the first one and interlock your fingers.
- Use your upper body weight to deliver rapid and forceful chest compressions.
- Perform 30 compressions at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
- Allow the chest to fully recoil after each compression.
4. Rescue Breaths:
- After 30 compressions, tilt the person's head back and lift their chin slightly to open the airway.
- Pinch their nose shut and cover their mouth with yours, delivering two rescue breaths.
- Make sure their chest rises with each breath. Allow air to escape between breaths.
5. Continue CPR Cycles:
- Repeat the cycle of 30 chest compressions and two rescue breaths in a continuous sequence.
- Maintain the ratio of 30:2 until the person starts breathing or professional help arrives.
6. Use an AED (if available):
- If an automated external defibrillator (AED) is accessible, use it as soon as possible.
- Follow the voice prompts provided by the AED and attach the electrode pads according to the instructions.
7. Support and Monitor:
- If the person starts breathing, place them in a recovery position and monitor their breathing and pulse until help arrives.
- Continue monitoring the victim to ensure their airway remains clear and their breathing remains consistent.
8. Stay Calm and Receptive to Instructions:
- Remain calm throughout the ordeal. If emergency responders arrive, follow their instructions without delay.
Nota:
Remember that performing CPR and rescue breaths properly requires training and certification. It's important to seek appropriate CPR training to effectively respond to emergencies.
